Wellness is not a single treatment. It is what your body has been asking for, given the week you have actually had — and the honest answer is different for everyone who walks in.

Find Your Ritual

Six questions. One honest suggestion.

Not a health test and not a diagnosis — just a way of narrowing forty treatments down to the one or two that actually fit how you feel right now. Nothing you tap is saved or sent anywhere.

Between Visits

What actually helps, in Arusha

A treatment lasts an hour. These are the things that hold onto it for the rest of the month — written for this altitude, this dust and this sun, not copied from a spa in a colder country.

Drink more than you think you need

Arusha sits around 1,400m. At altitude you lose water through breathing alone, long before you feel thirsty — which is why headaches and flat skin here are so often just dehydration wearing a disguise. This matters double after a massage or sauna.

Sunscreen is not a beach product

UV intensity climbs roughly 10–12% for every 1,000m of altitude, and we are close to the equator. The most effective anti-ageing step available to anyone here costs less than a single facial and takes thirty seconds each morning — including on cloudy days, and including darker skin tones.

Protect the hour before sleep

Most people do not have a sleep problem so much as a wind-down problem. Dim the lights, put the phone in another room, and let your body get the signal that the day has ended. It is free, and it outperforms almost anything we could sell you.

Move every hour, not once a week

The stiffness we most often treat comes from sitting still, not from overwork. Two minutes of standing and rolling your shoulders every hour does more for a desk-bound neck than one heroic gym session on Saturday.

Breathe out longer than you breathe in

A slow four-count in and a six-count out, for a minute or two, shifts your nervous system out of alert mode. It is the one technique we teach every client, because it works anywhere — in traffic, before a meeting, on the table with us.

Rest is not the reward for finishing

The most common thing we hear is that someone has been meaning to come for months. Wellness treated as a prize for clearing your list never arrives, because the list never clears. Book it the way you would book anything else that matters.

After Your Treatment

The next 24 hours

What you do straight after a treatment decides how much of it you keep. This is what we tell every client on the way out.

  1. 01

    Water, immediately

Massage and heat both move fluid around. Two extra glasses in the first few hours is the single most useful thing you can do.

  2. 02

Do not go straight to the gym

Give deep tissue work a day before heavy training. Muscles that have just been released need a little time before you load them again.

  3. 03

    Leave a facial alone

No makeup for a few hours, no strong actives or exfoliants that evening, and sunscreen without fail the next morning — freshly treated skin is more sun-sensitive, not less.

  4. 04

    A little soreness is normal

Deep work can leave you tender for a day, much like exercise. Sharp pain, bruising or anything that worsens is not normal — tell us, and speak to a doctor.

One thing worth saying plainly: we are a spa, not a clinic. Nothing on this page is medical advice, and our treatments are not a treatment for illness. If something in your body worries you — persistent pain, a change you cannot explain, anything that is getting worse — please see a doctor first. We are happy to work alongside whatever they advise, and we will tell you honestly when a treatment is not the right thing for you.
